Developing a new visualization tool with local councils - RAISE

Roles: Technical Assistant, Communications Coordinator

RAISE (Rapid Analytics Interactive Scenario Explorer) shows users the effect that new infrastructure projects (say a new train station) might have on surrounding property values. This web-based tool was developed by researchers from the University of New South Wales (UNSW) and Queensland University of Technology (QUT) and received a lot of interest from local councils and the NSW government.

As part of the UNSW research team, I coordinated communications with our project partners, led meetings between the UNSW and QUT teams, and organized workshops with local councils and government agencies. I wrote project reports and newsletter updates, and fostered relationships with our partners to help ensure continuous funding for the project.

Together with my project communication tasks, I also sourced and processed raw data which were fed into the visualization model. Click here to view the UNSW project information page.

A workshop I organized with a local council. Iā€™m seated at the far lefthand side of the conference room.
